Description
There’s going to be a race for this…
With this massive limited-edition bottle, it’s possible to experience the emotions of motor racing’s biggest wins and party like the drivers on the podium. That’s because the Ferrari F1 Podium Jeroboam, created by Ferrari Trento, is the official toast of Formula 1.
Ferrari Trento were crowned ‘Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year’ at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships in 2021. For this luxurious release, they’ve selected a Blanc de Blancs from the 2015 vintage (rated ‘Outstanding’ by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate). A Trentodoc is a sparkling wine produced using the classic method (the same as Champagne) and hand-picked grapes grown on the slopes of the mountains of Trentino. This one has been aged on the lees (the spent yeast that gives the greatest sparkling wines their creamy, nutty and bready character) for over 55 months, which is more than a year and half longer than even vintage Champagne requires. It has been produced only in three-litre bottles, which are replicas of those you’ll see being shaken up and popped on the podium. Each one has the name ‘Ferrari’ emblazoned on the side, includes the symbol of the Grand Prix winner and the Formula 1 logo, and comes packaged in a sleek cylindrical gift box.
Velvety soft with notes of Golden Delicious apples, wildflower meadows, yeast, ripe citrus and freshly baked crusty bread, this is an exceptionally stylish piece of winemaking and far too good to be sprayed all over the place.
Giulio Ferrari was inspired by Champagne and his winemaking studies in France, which gave him the vision of producing Metodo Classico sparkling wine in Italy. The Ferrari Trento brand is now owned and run by the third generation of the Lunelli family, who craft some of Italy’s finest and most awarded fizz from their vineyards at the base of the Dolomites.
